I was the recipient of The Lord Mayor's Helen Taylor Research Award for Local History for 2020, and this website, and  the associated publication Capturing Brisbane: the City's first photographers 1855 - 1901 is the result of that support by Brisbane City Council.

​Nothing is ever done in isolation, and I acknowledge the earlier work on 19th century Australian photographers by Alan Davies and Peter Stanbury, and locally by Sandy Barrie, Marcel Safier, and Peter Marquis-Kyle.
